CJ Meets the Executive Members of UJOA, EAMJA
Executive Members of Uganda Judicial Officers Association and East African Magistrates and Judges Association met with Hon. Justice Owiny - Dollo(Chief Justice)

The Executive Members of Uganda Judicial Officers Association (UJOA) and East African Magistrates and Judges Association (EAMJA) met the Chief Justice to brief him about the decision by the EAMJA nominating Uganda as the host country for the upcoming EAMJA 2023 Conference.

During the meeting, Hon. Justice John Eudes Keitirima, the President of the EAMJA, briefed the Chief Justice about the informal meetings that have been done so far and requested for the approval of the Chief Justice for the conference. 

The Chief Justice, appreciated the vote of confidence that the EAC Member States gave to Uganda to host the conference and pledged his full support to ensure that the Conference is a success.

He therefore, approved the dates that were set from 5th to 8th December. 

He also advised the President EMJA to constitute a team to start the organizations which will later on liaise with the National organizing committee to foresee the success of the Conference.

HW Pamela Lamunu Ocaya, represented the Chief Registrar at the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Hon. Justice Tadeo Asiimwe, President UJOA, Hon. Lady Justice Olive Kazaarwe Mukwaya, Representative of High Court, UJOA, HW Katushabe Prossy, Vice President UJOA, HW Kirya Martins, General Secretary, UJOA and Ms Lydia Banura, Executive Director, UJOA.

Equally present were EAMJA Council Members; HW Janeva Natukunda and HW Stella Paculal.
